It is important to understand how to set up bio-mats properly. That is why we either set it up for you in your preferred location (either home or professional practice) or “walk you through” specific instructions to make sure you maximize your time with this powerful healing device.

If you are setting up the BioMat in your bed, place it with the amethyst crystals facing upward (gold print design next to the mattress), under the fitted sheet. Then, cover the BioMat with the provided cotton cover for extra softening and attach the elastic straps to all four corners of the BioMat. You may also wish to lay some thick, 100% cotton towels on top; again, these help cushion and make the experience enjoyable, as well as protect the mat from sweat and keep it clean. Then, secure your fitted bed sheet. Place the amethyst pillow at the head of the BioMat and wrap a small towel around the pillow for cleanliness.

Note:  If you have a Tempurpedic™ bed, lay thick 100% cotton towels between the mattress and the BioMat.

Also note:  If you launder the cotton coverlet, use unscented, chemical-free laundry detergent and no dryer sheets.

You are now ready to insert the tan connector chord (attached to the temperature control box) into the BioMat. Plug the black chord into an electrical wall outlet. Activate the rocker switch on the temperature control panel and a green light will turn on. Press the “Power” on/off button and press the “up” temperature button to the highest red setting to warm up the mat for 20 minutes. When you are ready to experience a BioMat session, press the temperature “down” button to desired temperature. Most beginners prefer a low to medium temperature; be careful not to over-do with too high temperature in the beginning.

Recommended use is 20-30 minutes for the first session, increasing in 5- to 10-minute increments with each session thereafter. Remember to drink lots of water before and after each BioMat session.
