We adhere to the FDA marketing guidelines for the BioMat.

Did you know the BioMat is an FDA Class II medical device? It is important to give accurate information and not mislead you about this certification and/or imply unauthorized benefits.

So, what can we talk about/mention with the bio-mat? One of our peer distributors suggests a catchy acronym called “AIPSS” and that stands for Arthritis and Autoimmune, Inflammation, Pain, Stress, and Sleep. This is actually a handy guideline when discussing the BioMat’s benefits in an accurate way that upholds the FDA guidelines.

As you can imagine, there are likely some sensitive topics and health challenges that might arise when talking about the BioMat. Examples could include cancer, sciatica, Lyme disease, etc. According to the FDA marketing guidelines, we are not allowed to refer to the BioMat and cancer. Further, it is best to stay focused on symptoms like pain (in general) or sleep issues that the BioMat can be helpful with.

The FDA gives specific guidelines about marketing and testimonials. We need to make sure any website information and/or images do not imply unauthorized claims. In addition, all testimonials or product praise must be compliant. An example:  a customer can share about their personal experience using the BioMat and how it helped with their pain (in general), but refrain from claiming it cured any specific disease.

Per the FDA guidelines, the only disease we can talk about directly is arthritis. And of course, when mentioning arthritis, avoid making any exaggerated or unsupported claims.

This post is vital that all BioMat distributors adhere and honor the FDA guidelines. Richway International has worked diligently for years to obtain FDA status and continue to uphold approval. The distributors are an important web of making sure we remain compliant. We are interested in upholding Richway’s integrity with this important issue.
