As you know there is the original Richway BioMat and many knock-offs now. What are the key differences?
The first big difference is the founder of the original BioMat is a world leader in this technology and they have been in existence since 1997. This is a plethora of experience and a wealth of research and manufacturing expertise vs. knock-offs (who have come into existence very recently).
Second, the Richway BioMat is the only far infrared mat on the market that is FDA 510K approved and maintains a current satisfactory certification. This speaks to bio-mats as a medical device, as well as its safety and efficacy.
Next, Richway International (the BioMat’s parent company) contracted a third-party validator to count negative ions. (The higher the count number, the healthier the product.) While we have written about this in a previous blog, the summary is:
- Our home environments have 50-100 ions/cm³.
- Moving into nature, the number increases dramatically – 10,000 ions/cm³ for oceans and waterfalls (for example).
- Third-party testing for the BioMat confirmed the mat produces over 3,400 ions/cm³; similar to a refreshing countryside environment.
- This definitely contributes to feeling amazing when we use the BioMat! Knock-offs usually don’t publish their ion numbers – either they don’t know or they are low. You know what you are getting with an original BioMat.
Further, some of the competitors to the BioMat use a variety of crystals. Since Richway has researched the best crystals to provide desired effects (such as detoxification or mental clarity, etc.), the competitors using many different low-grade crystals lacks intentionality and is likely a way of producing a cheaper, less effective mat.
Finally, Richway offers a comprehensive warranty program, unlike anyone else in the current landscape of mats. We have written several recent blog posts going into detail about these programs; please feel free to review those blog articles.
We hope you found this helpful and a confirmation of why you’d want to purchase an original BioMat.
