This week we are continuing professional-size BioMat set-up (and be sure to read last week’s post for more information). Last week we mentioned important information about the controller and realized we had more to say!

To “power up” your new BioMat:

  1. With the controller, it is important to make sure the tan cord with a unique flat end be firmly plugged into the access plug-in point of the bio-mat. When it is properly inserted, the plug should be completely flush to the BioMat (make sure there is zero space between).
  2. Plug the black cord into the wall outlet.
  3. Place the controller box on the floor or on a nightstand. Do not put the controller on the BioMat. This is because the controller eliminates electromagnetic frequencies (EMFs) and if you place the controller on the mat, EMFs from the controller may spread onto the mat.

To turn on your pro-size BioMat:

  1. Engage the rocker switch (on the side of the controller) to “on.”
  2. Press the “power on” button that is on the face of the controller.
  3. We suggest increasing the temperature, using the temp up button to its highest setting for 20-30 minutes to thoroughly heat up the mat with far infrared heat. Once it is fully heated, reduce the heat setting to your desired preference. (Lower settings are generally preferred, especially in the beginning.) Also note: if the temperature is set for 122° F., the heat will automatically reduce after four hours. (This is a safety mechanism.)
  4. You can also set a timer; 2-, 4-, 8- and 12-hour settings are available. Again, in the very beginning, we suggest 20-30 minute sessions on low to medium heat (so none of the time settings are appropriate at the very beginning).
  • For personal use, once you have built up time on the mat, you may desire sleeping on it. The 8- and 12-hour times are a wonderful feature to keep it on for the duration of your sleep.
  • If you are a professional, you may enjoy the 8- or 12-hour setting because you can leave the Richway BioMat on for the entire day.

There’s still one more included item in the pro-size BioMat suitcase (the Germanium Power Pad) and we’ll share more info about it in next week’s blog.
