This blog post is more information about negative ions in the BioMat.

As we have shared before, the four main elements of the bio-mat are far infrared heat, negative ions, amethyst and tourmaline. Most of the general population does not know anything about any of these elements and in fact, may be quite confused and/or have a lot of misperceptions about them. It is for this reason that we have felt it is important to share and educate about each of the elements as much as possible!

Perhaps the least understood of all the elements is negative ions … hence, this blog post. And we are happy to say that the more we learn about negative ions, the more we realize how incredibly healing and helpful they are to overall wellness.

First of all, negative ions are found in nature, especially by water sources that are moving (waterfalls, ocean, lakes, rivers, etc.). They are also found in forests and mountains; our natural environment is filled with negative ions and this is why we enjoy being in nature so much. This is in contrast to our homes which are unfortunately filled with positive ions and electro-magnetic frequencies (EMFs) with pollution, cell signals, Wi-Fi, microwaves, etc.

Our home environments lack negative ions. As an example, office buildings and our homes with continuous HVAC systems “pump in” positive ions all the time. Therefore, these enclosed spaces may have 50-100 ions/cm³. As you move more and more into nature, this number increases. For waterfalls and oceans, the number increases to 10,000 ions/cm³. What is exciting about the Richway BioMat (7000 MX series) is third-party testing confirmed it produces over 3,400 ions/cm³. This is similar to a refreshing countryside environment! No wonder we feel amazing when we use the BioMat!! 🙂

We have so much more to say about negative ions so watch for next week’s blog post, too.
