This blog post includes info to transport your BioMat.
Do you find that you take your bio-mat different places? This is common, especially for our healing practitioners as they take the BioMat from their office to home. And sometimes, the BioMat gets moved from family member to family member.
Here’s a list of things that you need to keep in mind whenever you transport your BioMat:
- You will want to make sure your BioMat is completely cooled off before you roll it up and place in the suitcase. (This helps avoid the see-through window of the BioMat from becoming “cloudy.”)
- Be sure to fold the amethyst/tourmaline side towards the inside; you will be able to see the non-crystal side in the suitcase.
- For the cotton cover, launder it using a chemical-free, unscented laundry soap/detergent; do not use dryer sheets.
All of these suggestions help keep your Richway BioMat in pristine condition.
And what about putting the BioMat in your car? Here’s some specific tips for that:
- Any time you are lifting the BioMat, be sure to bend at the knees not curving your back. (Improper bending is likely the greatest cause of low back pain.)
- Bring the BioMat in the suitcase close to your body. (The shorter the distance the weight is to the center of gravity, the less muscular effort is required of the back muscles.)
- Proper forward bending and lifting requires:
- Good flexibility of the low back.
- Good abdominal muscle tone.
- Good elongation and strength of the lower vertebrae and sacroiliac.
- Proper body mechanics.
- Use the BioMat personally after you have transported it!
It is our hope that the pointers above are helpful and useful as you move the BioMat from location to location. If you have other suggestions or ideas, we would love to hear from you!
