This blog will be more on the BioMat and contraindications. (For further information, please be sure to review the past two blog posts.)
For women who have used the BioMat prior to getting pregnant, you may wish to use the bio-mat on low heat only (95-113F). If you haven’t used the BioMat prior to getting pregnant, we suggest abstaining using the mat until after your baby is delivered. Consult with a physician about using of the BioMat before, during or after pregnancy.
For radiation therapy and/or chemotherapy patients, it is suggested to use the bio-mat on low to medium heat (95-131F).
Patients who have surgical implants of titanium, metal, ceramic or plastic can use the BioMat. These implants generally reflect infrared rays and are not heated by an infrared heat system. If you experience pain in any of these areas, check with your physician.
- It is important to note that silicone implants may be warmed by infrared heat, so consult your medical professional before BioMat use. Also, silicon is known to melt at over 200C/392F; therefore, you should not be adversely affected by the BioMat’s infrared rays/heat.
When you use the Richway BioMat, you should not experience pain. However, the infrared heat will go to areas of disease or discomfort so some people may perceive this as pain and others as a healing sensation. If pain is persistent, discontinue use. Further, if there are any worsened conditions when using the bio-mat, discontinue use. Some temporary symptoms may occur, which can be attributed to the detoxification and healing process.
Still more to cover, so stay tuned for next week’s post on this important topic.
