This blog post is about the BioMat and contraindications.
First of all, we are not medical professionals and we do not give medical advice, information, suggestions or recommendations. Therefore, it is recommended that you consult with your physician before using the bio-mat. Also, we have two different documents highlighting contraindications of the BioMat. (One is from Richway International and it is a conservative approach, perhaps for liability reasons; the other document is from our upline. Both documents help explain who should and who should not use bio-mats.)
Recipients of any type of organ transplant (kidney, heart, liver, etc.) should not use the BioMat. After an organ transplant, most patients take immunosuppressant (anti-rejection) drugs to help prevent their immune system from attacking or rejecting the new organ. The BioMat’s far infrared heat boosts immune system function, which may indicate to your body to attack the new organ.
Use of external pacemakers are rare but if you have one, you should not use the bio-mat.
If you currently take medication, you may wish to consult with your physician before using the BioMat. For example, the BioMat’s far infrared heat may “amp up” certain medications.*
If you are experiencing a high fever, use the BioMat with no heat and negative ions only.*
For recent acute joint injuries, use the BioMat with no heat and negative ions only. (This is because injuries are best not heated within the first 48 hours.) Joints that are hot or swollen may respond poorly to heat.*
If you are insensitive to heat and/or have a reduced ability to sweat, use the bio-mat with no heat and negative ions only.*
Regardless of any health challenges, remember to always stay hydrated while using the BioMat.
Recognizing we have more to say about this important topic, we’ll be back next week with more information on contraindications.
* This is a conservative approach; use at you and your doctor’s discretion.
