We have more BioMat contraindications information to share.
Richway International (parent company of bio-mats) has had the BioMat extensively tested in the United States and around the world. These tests have occurred on an on-going basis to make sure the quality and standards remain current. Therefore, they have made the BioMat as safe as possible for many people. There are, however, a few contraindications to be aware of. (For more information, read our blog post from June 10, 2019.)
- Insertion of body parts using metal, such as spine, hips, knees, etc. With these metal replacements, the BioMat is safe to use.
- Children will love the BioMat! It is recommended they use only the lowest temperatures.
- External patches on the body, such as estrogen or nicotine, etc. When using the BioMat, you may need to remove the medicated patch because the BioMat may boost the patch’s intake dosage.
- Sometimes using the BioMat can increase or worsen your pain. Do you need to discontinue usage? We suggest consulting with your medical professional and also to know that your symptoms may be temporary and actually, you may be detoxing, which is a good thing! Especially if you use the BioMat at too high heat and/or too long, you may intensively detox and this does not feel very comfortable.
Intense detoxing can include cramps, headaches, nausea, diarrhea, tummy aches and/or vomiting. If you experience any of these issues, take a break from using the BioMat, and next time you use, it, reduce the heat, set a timer for a short period of time (and make yourself get off as soon as the timer goes off).
Also, be sure to hydrate by drinking water before, during and after your BioMat session. This helps to flush toxins in a gentle manner. Sometimes the detoxing is uncomfortable but keep in mind, it is helping with your overall healing journey, by bringing balance back into your body. Your short-term pain may be for long-term gain – all good!!
