Did you know the BioMat cover that comes with the bio-mats is a vital part of its functionality? We recently learned this “by accident!”

We were “airing out” a professional-size loaner BioMat; in other words, since this mat had been with several different customers, we wanted to make sure it was functioning properly before loaning it out again. So, we set up the mat, turned it on the highest possible heat setting and planned to let it “cook” for two hours. (Since the BioMat cover was “queued” for the laundry, we didn’t have it on top of the BioMat.) We checked the BioMat about 30 minutes later and it felt like it was barely heating. So, we called Richway International (the BioMat’s parent company) and the first thing they asked is, “Do you have the cover on top of the mat?” They explained that having the cover on top is an important component of how the BioMat functions properly.

We then placed the cover on top of the mat and it worked beautifully, heating properly! Consequently, we’ve learned more about how the cover actually functions … the cover is made of cotton and silk, containing nano-technology and is designed to ensure even distribution of the BioMat’s heat. The imprinted symbols actually assist your physical body to adapt to the BioMat’s frequency. Further, it protects the BioMat’s surface. This cover is included with every BioMat purchase and can also be ordered separately if you need to replace it or wish to have another one to change out. Finally, the cover is machine washable and it is best to use non-toxic detergents, air dry or dry on a gentle cycle.
