This blog post is a guide to the BioMat temperature settings.
If you are just beginning to use the BioMat – regardless of the size – an appropriate introduction is slow (short time) and low (lower temperatures). This is a conservative approach but it is important that you not over-do in the beginning. (If you do over use it, you will detox too quickly and while this won’t hurt you, it is an unpleasant feeling and doesn’t have to happen/can be avoided.) The green settings and lower gold are most helpful in the beginning. (Green settings are mild temperatures and allow you to adjust easily and quickly to the mat. The body meets the frequencies to enjoy it.)
If you have minimal health challenges and are fairly healthy, you can use the whole gamut of the BioMat’s temperature settings. That said, it is advised to not use the bio-mat on the highest setting for more than one hour (regardless of your health status). The full spectrum of settings gives lots of different options and possibilities for optimum health and comfort. Suggested temperature setting: 131 degrees (this promotes you going into theta and delta stages quickly, as well as helps with relaxation and pain relief).
If you have health challenges, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, allergies, etc. or are quite toxic from smoking, excessive alcohol, or are on many medications, start with the green temperatures for 20-30 minutes (after the mat is thoroughly heated). You can do this two to three times per day, spaced with five to six hour intervals between sessions. Suggested temperature setting: 122 degrees.
As you build time on the Richway BioMat, you can eventually sleep on it. And also, as you gain experience with the BioMat, you can really tune in and listen to your own body and its needs.
