This blog post covers recommendations for BioMat usage. Here’s some tips for new BioMat users:
- First of all, when your bio-mat first arrives, unfold the mat so that the crystal veins are facing up.
- Next, attach the quilted cotton cover securely on top of the Richway BioMat.
- Preheat your new BioMat at least 15 to 20 minutes on the highest setting before use (longer if it’s been stored in a cool or cold environment).
- For your first several times of using the BioMat, lower the temperature to the second of third settings before you either sit or lie down. (Be sure NOT to over-do your first sessions – either using it too long or having the heat set too high.)
- For the best results, use the BioMat daily. The BioMat’s effects are cumulative.
- If you wish to support your low back, place a pillow or bolster under the mat at your knees. This will allow your knees and legs to remain in direct contact with the mat and will receive all of the mat’s therapeutic benefits.
- Eventually, you can set the timer on the control panel so the power will automatically go off after 2, 4, 8 or 12 hours.
The main purpose of the BioMat is to help bring your body back into balance. One way to do that is through detoxing. Amethyst is known to be a powerful detox and the BioMat helps the body detox by inducing a sweat, which encourages movement of bodily fluids. Also please note: you do not want to detox too quickly. (This is another reason we suggest short sessions and low/medium temperatures for new users.) Signs that you detoxing too much, too quickly are headaches, cramps, belly aches, diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, etc. Since everyone is different and everyone detoxes differently, please pay attention to your own body.
