In all our years of writing blogs, we have never written about BioMats – a multi-level marketing company. We post a blog entry almost every week, so it is unusual that we have not written about this important topic until now.

Part of the reason we have never written about bio-mats being an MLM company is MLMs have a bad reputation by many people and have a lot of “baggage.” This is truly unfortunate because some of the best products, including the BioMat(!), are “housed” in companies that have chosen to use the MLM model. In actuality, most corporations are set up in a very similar way but the general public does not chose to see it in the same way as an MLM company.

One of the perceived issues with an MLM company is only the “top” people make money. Do you think that is also true with a corporation? We do! Further, from our experience, we know this is not true with Richway International (the BioMat’s parent company).

What do you think of multi-level marketing companies? How did MLMs get such a bad reputation? Do you have the same feelings about big corporations? Since Richway is an MLM, has this ever impacted you getting a sale if/when your potential customer finds out it is an MLM? Are you open to the product versus the type of company and distribution system it has selected? To us and to so many of our customers, the company type/distribution does not matter. We appreciate this openness and find it quite refreshing! And on the flip side of this debate, we know some BioMat distributors who are actively looking for other MLMs to work with.
