Recently, several people have asked us to compare the BioMat with an infrared sauna. We actually love this question because it is fun to see the differences between the two products. And it is easy to see why so many people select bio-mats over the infrared sauna!
- You can save money. That is the first benefit and perhaps the most important! A professional-size BioMat is $1,750 (or $1,650 if you are a health care provider, first responder, veteran or energy healer); you can own three BioMats for the price an infrared sauna.
- The BioMat saves space. The professional-size BioMat fits on a massage table or even in your bed (or spare bed). This is quite different than the space required by an infrared sauna “house.”
- Your safety is directly connected to your health. It is not safe to apply far infrared heat to the brain, which is what happens when you sit in a full-size infrared sauna. The BioMat prevents infrared heat from touching your brain in two ways:
- First, we recommend using the Amethyst & Tourmaline Pillow along with the professional-size BioMat. The pillow keeps your head cool. - If you do not use the Amethyst & Tourmaline Pillow, the top part of the Richway BioMat (where you lay your head) is not heated. This is intentional for the reason of not getting infrared heat to the brain.
