One of our favorite topics is sharing more information about being a BioMat distributor. As a distributor, you will meet all kinds of people. Some personality types are easier to relate to but it makes life interesting with many different types of people! Here are some ideas to keep in mind as you connect with potential customers “from all walks of life”:
- Some people will do a lot of research before trying the BioMat; others just want to experience it without knowing much about it.
- You will find some people want to chit chat, get to know you and establish a relationship before ever discussing bio-mats. Others will not be interested in small talk at all and want to learn as much about the BioMat as possible.
- Some people are quite emotional and base their purchasing decision “on their gut” while others are very logical, methodical and calculated.
- You may find some skepticism. If you make the BioMat sound too good to be true, this increases skepticism. Also, especially since many people don’t know about far infrared heat, amethyst crystals and negative ions, they have to be educated in a short period of time and skepticism increases as overwhelm rises. (Be careful not to share too much info too quickly.)
- Some potential customers may be OK with “flowery” language and hyperbole; others just want facts, data and research to back up all your conversations.
- If you are at an expo and the BioMat has been advertised, you may find some people come with a list of prepared questions. Be prepared to answer a wide range of questions/topics.
- It is very helpful to all customers when you know how the product(s) work and have data/resources to back up your conversation.
The bottomline of all these tips: “read” your audience/potential customers, then address them as they desire.
