This blog post features your holiday survival guide including the BioMat! Are you all stressed out because of the holiday craze? There’s a lot of extra work that goes into the holidays, right?! Whether it’s extra baking, shopping, decorating, parties and activities, Advent services, etc., the list is long of “over and above” the usual flurry of activity.
There are several things you can do using bio-mats to relax and ultimately enjoy this holy season:
- Before using your BioMat, heat it up for 20 to 30 minutes on high. Then, cut back the heat to medium for your actual BioMat session.
- As you lay on your BioMat, listen to your favorite music (as long as it is relaxing). Decrease the volume by 25% to help move you into contemplation and deeper relaxation.
- Drink lots of water to hydrate while you are on the mat.
- Schedule (yes, seriously!) BioMat time each day. By putting it in your calendar, you are “carving out” special daily time for healing and rejuvenation.
- Focus on your breath, as well as your feelings as you experience the BioMat. This helps you process your emotions and connect to your inner dialogue. The goal is to bring you peace and joy amidst the crazy holiday busy-ness.
- It is sometimes helpful to list five to 10 gratitude items as you meditate on your BioMat. (Is the Richway BioMat on the top of that list?!)
- Unless it is an emergency, do not use electronics or your mobile phone while on the BioMat. (These devices are filled with electro-magnetic frequencies (EMFs) which are harmful to your health. It is better to focus on quiet, meditation and sleep.
