For our new users, here are several beginning BioMat usage tips:
- We understand every person is an individual and this obviously impacts your approach to the BioMat and beginning to use it.
- Your personal preferences will determine how high you set the temperature and the amount of time you lie on it.
- If you are “brand new” to the BioMat, you definitely will want to start on a low setting (if not the lowest). This is especially true if you are sensitive.
- The amount of time is also short/limited in the beginning. Typically, we suggest 20 to 30 minutes in the early days of use. Then building in 10 to 15 minutes per day thereafter. Eventually, you will be able to sleep on the BioMat if you wish.
You get to be the judge and in control! However, we share this conservative approach because we don’t want you to over-do it, especially in the beginning. If you do use bio-mats too long or on too high heat, you may detox too quickly and this will likely make you feel nauseous, queasy and overall “icky.”
Finally, you may want to experiment with ending your sessions with an extra 15 minutes on the negative ion only setting. (To accomplish this, tap the temp button down until the last green square is no longer lit up.) This will give you the negative ion treatment without any heat.
Once you have been using the BioMat for some time, you may intentionally boost the heat, even increasing to the highest red settings for longer periods of time. However, we do not recommend exceeding an hour on the highest red settings, and definitely, the BioMat should not be set on high for longer than a two-hour interval.
Regardless of what setting you use, but especially if you are using the BioMat on the highest settings, be sure to hydrate well. Drink water before and after using the BioMat. Click here for helpful additional information as a new BioMat user.
