The BioMat’s advanced technology is important when comparing the BioMat to an electric heating pad. In this blog, we will discuss two big differences between the BioMat and an electric heating pad: 1) alternating current versus direct current (AC vs. DC), and 2) electromagnetic frequencies (EMFs).

First of all, each BioMat control box converts alternating currency (AC) electricity to direct current (DC). Filtering out AC is important because DC has been proven over and over to be much healthier than AC. So with the BioMat, you are receiving direct current (DC); with an electric heating pad, you are getting un-healthy alternating current (AC).

Further, the advanced NASA-developed control box blocks harmful EMFs. Two examples:

• Early in our days of distributing the BioMat, we shared the product with a family where the man of the household was an electrical engineer. He took an EMF meter and “ran” it over the BioMat reporting that it was devoid of EMFs. In fact, he exclaimed, “It does exactly what you said … no EMFs are present over the BioMat’s surface.”
• A customer who was super sensitive to EMFs purchased the BioMat and asked us to “witness” him moving the EMF meter around the BioMat’s surface. The meter was calm the entire “trip” over the actual mat.

And finally, this combination of AC/DC conversion and EMF interception makes it critical that you NOT put the control panel on the BioMat. In summary, you begin to see why the BioMat has a much higher therapeutic value than just a plain heating pad.
