Do you have a health issue and desire to have the Richway BioMat covered by your insurance company? Personal Injury Protection (PIP), workman’s compensation and flexible medical are types of insurance claims that are being paid. Other codes that may be beneficial include 510K No: K072534, HCPCS Code: E0221, FDA Medical Device Est. Number: 2954299. and Non-Participating Provider Number: 22852-8. You may also have a Flexible Medical Plan or a Health Savings Account (H.S.A.), and some of these plans also cover the Richway BioMat.

There are different ways to order the BioMat using insurance monies. One way is to order bio-mats and contact your insurance company about the possibilities of getting reimbursed for it. (This is probably the easiest and least time-consuming, although you are not guaranteed to receive reimbursement.) You may then use (and feel the benefits!) of the BioMat(s) during the time you are waiting for your insurance provider to decide. (They may determine if and/or how much they will pay for a BioMat.)

OR you may to submit your “claim” to your insurance provider for coverage. There are several important steps to take when requesting insurance to cover a BioMat for health reasons:

  1. Locate a medical doctor and ask him/her to prepare a prescription for the BioMat or any one of the products that Richway International makes. (Note: you may have to educate and explain far infrared heat and negative ions to your health care provider/professional. You may wish to make sure they understand the profound healing benefits of the BioMat’s technologies.)
  2. Your BoMat distributor will complete an order form with one important change – they will write “Medical Receipt Requested” in large all-capital letters across the top of the order form. Leave information for payment blank on the form.
  3. After preparing the order form, fax to Richway International at 808-597-1651 and follow up with a phone call to make sure the order was received.
  4. Richway International will send you a medical receipt; submit this plus your doctor’s prescription plus any other health care forms and all appropriate insurance claim forms to your insurance company. Keep copies of all documents for your records.
  5. You (the patient) are responsible for all insurance company follow up to determine the status of approval. (Note: neither Richway International nor your BioMat distributor will be able to assist you with this part of the process.)
  6. If your claim is approved, your insurance provider should provide you with a check payable to Fuji Bio Science (this is Richway International’s parent company) with the RI number on the check.
  7. Mail the check to Richway International at 1314 S. King St., #520 in Honolulu, HI 96814 and inform Richway this is payment for a Medical Receipt requested on [insert date].
  8. Once Richway receives and processes the order, the product(s) are shipped to the customer.

Please be aware this entire process is time-consuming, taking as long as six to twelve months. And you do not receive/use a BioMat until all of the appropriate paperwork is completed and approval is granted.

If you prefer to receive a BioMat immediately, you may wish to purchase the products you desire, then submit the appropriate paperwork to your insurance provider/company.
